ABOUT
Arnold Arre is a renowned Filipino comic book artist, writer, and self-taught animator. He received National Book Awards for his groundbreaking graphic novels The Mythology Class — the first winner in the Graphic Literature category — and Trip to Tagaytay, a sci-fi comic set in a future Philippines. His other works include Ang Mundo ni Andong Agimat, Halina Filipina, and the ongoing The Children of Bathala series. As of this writing, five of his titles have been published internationally by Tuttle Publishing, while his Philippine editions are exclusively released through Chambershell Publishing. Arnold’s storytelling extends to award-winning animation, including the short film Milkyboy, which won the Linda Mabalot New Visions Award at the 30th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF). Celebrated for seamlessly weaving Filipino heritage and culture into his narratives, Arnold is widely regarded as a significant figure in the Philippine comics industry.
